Alright, what are we doing here? What is it that we are supposed to be doing here? As of right now our groups have a common corpora (which is nothing new) but we are not actually united under a banner. We're talking about NE Allthings and changing the corpora, but I feel like these are things that cannot be dealt with until after we are actually a principality with a common government. Are we overstepping our bounds as the NEBoD? What exactly is our job? What is our goal?

I'd just like to be sure that we're all on the same page here.

I believe that our goal currently is to prepare for the potential-NE Principality, this includes election of its officers, the first Althings to make changes to the corpora already being brought forward and generally the transference of these responsibilities from the NEBoD to the proper Officers once elected.  The smooth transition of the NEBoD assumed powers to the proper Officers should be the main concern and this will only be easier by having these responsibilities in order and laid out for them when they step up.

To my understanding, no changes shall be made to the NE Corpora without an Imperial Althing vote, nor will the NEBoD simply assume powers it does not have in regards to elections and other functions without the consent of the people.  Most of these topics are simply preparations that are one-time occurrences due to the lack of proper Officers and whether the NEBoD should handle these issues themselves or setup a Bid Process.

We cannot have the first Imperial Althing to make any of these changes without first having Imperial Officers, we cannot have Imperial Officers without an Imperial Election, we cannot have an Imperial Election without a Coronation Event and said event will need to be hosted by some group of people.  That group of people will need to be selected even if it turns out to be the NEBoD that will need to be discussed and confirmed.

I disagree.  I think that we are fully able to have an Imperial Althing without having Imperial Officers.  We will just have to use individual group votes to execute it and permit us (the BoD) to administrate the Althing.  I don't forsee a large problem with it, as we will not be requesting a tie-breaking vote or any such thing - just the "power" to set the agenda (in full view, to ensure that we're not holding anything back) and set down dates, as per the Corpora.  We will also collect the votes and tabulate the data, though I wouldn't be averse to doing all of this openly either.

All of that said, I will be posting on each group's board asking that they vote within their groups' April Althing to permit the NEBoD to hold the first Imperial Althing, shortly after our requested affirmation time of Great Eastern.
